文中的Asia-Pacific dream就是指“亚太梦”。习近平指出，今天的亚太，在世界格局中的地位不断上升。也面临方方面面的挑战。亚太的未来，正处在关键的路口。

 

习近平在演讲中还指出，中国经济呈现出“new normal”（新常态）。我们正在推行的comprehensively deepening reform（全面深化改革），既是liberate the productive force（对社会生产力的解放），也是对unleash the vitality³ of the society（社会活力的解放），必将成为推动中国经济社会发展的强大动力。
