Strategic and Economic Dialogue 战略与经济对话

The 7th China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) and the 6th China-U.S. High-Level Consultation¹ on People-to-People Exchange (CPE) will take place in Washington on June 22-24.

第七轮中美战略与经济对话和第六轮中美人文交流高层磋商将于6月22日至24日在美国华盛顿举行。

 

自2009年以来，中美两国每年都会举行战略与经济对话（S&ED），旨在增进互信，促进合作，妥善处理两国的分歧问题（a major channel of communication to enhance mutual² trust, boost cooperation and properly handle differences）。

 

中美战略与经济对话是中美双方就事关两国关系发展的战略性、长期性、全局性问题而进行的战略对话。

 

2009年7月27-28日，第一轮中美战略与经济对话在华盛顿举行，双方将坦诚地就共同关心的战略性、全局性、长期性问题进行深入探讨（a candid³ and in-depth exchange of views on the strategic, long-term and overarching issues concerning the development of bilateral⁴ relations）。

 

2010年5月24-25日，第二轮对话在北京举行，中美两国在两国双边关系（bilateral relations），促进全球经济复苏（facilitating global economic recovery）以及反贸易保护主义（anti-protectionism in international trade）等多个方面达成了共识（achieved consensus⁵）。

 

2011年5月9-10日，第三轮对话在美国华盛顿举行，中美两国签署了《中美关于促进经济强劲、可持续、平衡增长和经济合作的全面框架》（the U.S.-China Comprehensive Framework for Promoting Strong, Sustainable and Balanced Growth and Economic Cooperation）。

 

2012年5月3-4日，第四轮对话在北京举行，双方代表就优化两国企业投资环境（optimizing the investment environment for companies）达成共识。

 

2013年7月10-11日，第五轮对话在美国华盛顿举行，双方就贸易问题和中美双边投资协定（Bilateral Investment Treaty）展开对话，并取得了重要成果。

 

2014年7月9-10日，第六轮对话在北京举行，这一年是中美建交35周年（35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States.），中国国家主席习近平发表讲话，强调中美之间的共同利益远大于分歧（common interests far outweigh⁶ differences），加强双方的军事对话（strengthening military dialogue），携手共同打击恐怖主义（fighting terror）。
