Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) must observe the "superior line" of core values and never cross the "bottom line" of party discipline, China's top discipline inspector¹ Wang Qishan said on September 9.

9月9日，中纪委书记王岐山表示，中国共产党党员应坚持核心价值观这条“高线”，绝不突破党的纪律这条“底线”。

 

王岐山指出，“高线”（superior line）就是核心价值观（core values of ideals）、为人民服务的信念和宗旨（faith and tenets to serve the people）。党的纪律和规矩（Party discipline and regulations）就是要时刻挺在前沿、记在心里的“底线”（bottom line）。

 

坚持“高线”（adhere to the "superior line"）、绝不允许突破“底线”（never be allowed to cross the "bottom line"），这是对全面从严治党（comprehensively strengthen Party discipline）要求的最新表述，体现了党在实现自我完善、自我净化、自我革新和自我提高的道路上的探索和努力，向人民兑现承诺的决心和担当。
