China has experienced less serious desertification over the past decade with data revealing that desertified areas have been shrinking, the forestry¹ authority said on Tuesday.

国家林业局29日表示，数据显示，过去十年中，我国荒漠化土地面积持续减少，土地“荒漠化”严重程度有所减轻。

 

根据监测结果显示，截止2014年，全国荒漠化土地面积是261.16万平方公里，占国土面积（the whole territory）的27.20%，沙化土地面积（sandified land）172.12万平方公里，占国土面积的17.93%；有明显沙化趋势的土地面积30.03万平方公里，约占国土面积的3.12%。实际有效治理的沙化土地面积是20.37万平方公里。
