Chinanews, Beijing, Feb. 17 – Beijing has provided ample goods to greet the coming Spring Festival, with 5.5 billion yuan worth of goods being available in the market this year, the Legal Mirror reported.

 

The basic daily necessities, such as fruits, vegetables, meat and aquatic1 products, do not have much price hike this year, according to information from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

 

Because of the warm winter this year, the prices of most fruits and vegetables actually have decreased a little bit, compared with last year. Meat price remains2 stable and price of grains is lower than last year. The price of cooking oil has climbed a little bit.

 

Flowers enjoy a good sale in the market. This year, the 20 flower producing bases in Beijing have prepared 3.8 million pot flowers for sale during the holiday. The flowers vary in 19 kinds, all of which being very popular among residents. They include flamingo3 flower, pineapple flower, orchids4, and cymbidium hybridum, etc.
