A groundbreaking ceremony for a restoration project of ancient dwellings¹, led by Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan, was held in Bengbu City, east China's Anhui Province on May 13, 2018, reports Chinanews.com.

中新网报道，5月13日，由香港影星成龙发起的古民居修复工程在安徽蚌埠举行动工仪式。

Jackie Chan said that he hoped the presentation of buildings and collections in the exposition² garden of the ancient dwellings will let more young Chinese people become interested in their country's traditional culture.

Experts and artists from countries including the United States, the Philippines, Cambodia, Spain, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom, well-known actors from China, as well as Ma Guoxiang, founder³ of the exposition garden of the ancient dwellings, attended the ceremony.

The exposition garden of the ancient dwellings is aimed at restoring and preserving 450 dwellings.

The project led by Jackie Chan is to open for construction at the end of 2018.
