英国国王查尔斯三世加冕仪式日期公布

英国国王查尔斯三世的加冕仪式将于 2023 年 5 月 6 日星期六举行。仪式将于女王伊丽莎白二世过世八个月后在伦敦威斯敏斯特教堂举行。

 

For 900 years, kings and queens have been crowned at Westminster Abbey. On the 6th of May next year, the Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct the coronation, anointing, blessing¹ and consecrating² King Charles III.

900年来，威斯敏斯特教堂一直是加冕国王和女王的场地。明年5月6日，坎特伯雷大主教将主持国王查尔斯三世的加冕仪式，为其涂抹圣油、祝福和祝圣。

 

In 1953, 8,000 people were in Westminster Abbey to see Queen Elizabeth II crowned. It was the first televised coronation – more than 27 million people watched across the UK. It was an event steeped in pomp and pageantry.

1953年，8000人在威斯敏斯特教堂观看了女王伊丽莎白二世的加冕仪式。那是首次在电视上直播加冕仪式，全英有2700多万人观看了直播。那是一场盛大而壮观的典礼。

 

Next year's ceremony will look different. Palace sources say it'll be shorter, smaller and more diverse, reflecting the role of a modern monarch³, while still being rooted in long-standing traditions.

相比之下，明年的仪式将有所不同。白金汉宫的消息人士表示，这次仪式将更短、规模更小，而且有更多来自不同背景的宾客参加，反映现代君主的角色，同时仍植根于悠久的传统。

 

Coronations are grand spectacles, a chance to showcase the rich, royal heritage of the UK to a global audience, reaching hundreds of millions. The coronation of King Charles III will still reflect that.

加冕仪式场面壮观，是向全球数亿观众展示英国王室遗产深厚底蕴的机会。国王查尔斯三世的加冕仪式仍将展示这个特色。

 

Saturday the 6th of May was chosen to avoid clashing with other major events planned for early summer. All members of the Royal Family are expected to be invited.
