| Chinanews, Beijing, Mar1. 23 – Gold armrest made in the Western Han Dynasty (206B.C.-24A.D.), bronze Chinese chesses made in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), and porcelains2 made in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)… All these precious art curios will be on display during the inauguration3 ceremony of the National Art Treasures Assessment4 Commission for folk collectors on March 22.
During the ceremony, 18 members of the commission will receive their appointment letters from experts like Luo Zhewen, Di Baochang and Shi Shuqing. These members are divided into 6 teams including porcelains, jades5, paintings, bronze wares6, coins and other items, and 60% of them are from National Commission of Cultural Relics7 Identification. People have started to hold a grand activity to identify treasures owned by folk collectors. More than 2,000 cultural relics have been recommended by folk collectors. Gao Yutao, one organizer of the activity, said that they are currently making specific standards for “national treasures owned by folk collectors”.
