China to monitor US military surveying ships in E.China Sea

Chinanews, Beijing, April 9 - The State Oceanic Administration of China released its 2006 law enforcement bulletin recently, saying that China has a regular cruise system implemented1 in the East China Sea, particularly to monitor the US military surveying ships there. China wishes these ships will stop their operation and leave China's territorial2 waters at once.

 

The regular cruise system is aimed at safeguarding China's sovereignty, and omnidirectional monitoring by ships and aircraft has long been applied3 in China's territorial waters.

 

China reserves the right to monitor and drive away ships that conduct oil & gas exploration in its territorial waters without permission from the Chinese government, and/or ships that interfere with China's development of its resources
