May 25 - Two restaurants, one located in Beijing, the other in Hong Kong, have entered Forbes world top 10 restaurants list, reported Sohu.com on Wednesday.

 

Cepe, located in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Beijing's Financial Street, was the only restaurant in the Chinese mainland to enter the top 10 list. Cepe is famous for its authentic1 northern Italian cuisine2. Its specialty3 is boletus. The average cost per person is 700 to 800 yuan (US$91 - 104).

 

On February 9, Christopher Hill, head of the US delegation4 to the Six-Party Talks, and Kim Kye-gwan, head of the North Korean delegation, dined at Cepe.

 

Hong Kong's The China Club was also included in the top list. It's famous for its delicious pastries5 as well as the exquisite6 antiques that decorate the interior. The Club is a favorite with local business people.

 

Forbes says that each city has its unique restaurant. However, they choose these 10 restaurants because they have somehow affected7 noted8 people, such as bankers, businessmen, politicians and trend setters.

 

Another Asian restaurant on the list was Jamavar in India.

 

Three European restaurants and four American ones also made the grade.
