Chinanews, Nanchang, Jul. 11 – Yiwu, Zhejiang Province is one of the most famous places for selling small merchandises in the world. The market in Yiwu has also been regarded by UN as the largest small merchandise market.

 

Wu Weirong, the Party chief of Yiwu, revealed that currently merchandises in Yiwu have been exported to 210 countries and regions in the world, and the trade volume has reached 30 million yuan, main importers being EU, the U.S., and Russia.

 

According to statistics, some 260 thousand foreign merchants come to Yiwu annually1 and 10 thousand of them stay there for varying lengths of time making their selections of the small merchandises.

 

Experts say that Yiwu’s market, stocked with 400 thousand merchandises, has the great power to compete with foreign merchandises.
