Chinanews, Shanghai, July 17 - The Diary of Shrimp1 and Piggy is a very popular online comic series nowadays. Its painter, "Beibei Xiaozhu" (her nickname on the Internet), has also become a new pop idol2, particularly famous for advice on love affairs.

 

Beibei Xiaozhu got married last September. Not long after, she quitted her job to be a full-time3 housewife. She is very fond of painting, thus she posted the comics of The Diary of Shrimp and Piggy, drawn4 by the inspiration of her own life, on her blog, which now has become a great hit. Many readers are really impressed, as they are quite familiar with its lifelike stories.

 

Now, her blog has received more than 100 thousand visitors. Many famous Internet portals, like MSN China and Tianya, have also set up special zones to publish her works. It is said that there is even a fan club of hers.

 

"It's great fun knowing that there are so many people browsing5 your blog," said Beibei Xiaozhu. "Sometimes I feel like as if the click rate of my blog were like a blue chip in a bull market."

 

At present, Beibei Xiaozhu is planning to publish the comics in book form, and she will start painting a new series based on her experiences at work.
