To save brother's life, man tries to immigrate illegally

Chinanews, Beijing, Aug. 30 – A certain Mr. Li was recently tried to steal out of China to Canada and donate his kidney to his ailing1 elder brother there in order to save the latter’s life.

 

Li was brought back to Beijing police on Monday in the Capital Airport. He had been captured by Canadian police early this month. He said he found no other ways than illegally immigrating2 to Canada. He said that he had received a message from Canada saying that his brother urgently needed kidney transplant.

 

Li thought that to get a Canadian visa, he would have to wait for two to three months, and by then his brother would have died. So he raised some 60 thousand yuan for illegal immigration from his relatives and immigrated3 illegally to Canada. He finally contributed his kidney to his brother, but his fake visa was also discovered by Canadian police. Li was arrested, and was later sent back to China.

 

Chinese police finally dropped legal suit against him, and sent him back to his hometown.
