Beijing museums to provide service in 7 languages

Chinanews, Beijing, September 12 – During the 2008 Olympic Games, about 30 major museums in Beijing will provide service in at least 7 languages, including new museums and those very famous ones. The Capital Museum will even provide 11-language service.

 

Nowadays, most museums in Beijing provide service in Chinese, English, Japanese and French. Different museums will offer service in different languages. For example, the Temple of Confucius, will offer service in Korean and Japanese, for it mainly attracts tourists from the East.

 

Most museums are planning trainings of their staff members to improve their language skills. The Beijing Municipal1 Cultural Heritage2 Administration will publish an English pamphlet3 for them.
