Chinanews, Tianjin, Sept. 22 – National Forum1 on Women and Children was recently held in Tianjin, at which most experts said love from the father in the family is important.

 

Yao Yanbin, an expert from Tianjin Women and Children's Healthcare Center, said that in China most people held the traditional idea that women should take care of their families and children, while men should promote their career, and as a result, fathers should take little responsibility for their children's growth.

 

According to latest research, lack of love from fathers may cause children's psychological2 problems. A survey shows that some 70% of fathers in Shanghai only play with their children during the weekends, but World Health Organization's research reveals3 that children who live with their fathers longer may become more intelligent.
