China's economy grows faster than India

Chinanews, Beijing, October 13 – According to the National Statistics1 Bureau2, China’s economic growth in 2003 – 2006 was 2% faster than India, 3.5% faster than Russia, and 5% faster than the world average level.

 

China, India, Russia and Brazil are considered as the 4 fastest-developing countries in the world nowadays. China’s average annual GDP growth between 2003 and 2006 was 14%, the top among the 4.

 

IMF’s statistics show that China is the eleventh fastest-developing country in the world, with its total GDP ranking among top 4 in 2006.

 

China being an important booster to world economy, it will take up more responsibilities in the future. In 2003 – 2005, China contributed to 13.8% of the world’s GDP growth, only following the US.
