Chinanews, Beijing, October 19 – Today is the Double-Ninth Festival (the 9th day of the 9th lunar month), a special occasion for Chinese to show their respect to the aged1. According to a survey conducted in Shanghai, most senior Shanghainese wish their children could visit them often.

 

SMail.com conducted the survey, covering 4,500-odd respondents. 89% of the respondents are satisfied with their current life, but only 49% of them are satisfied and 41% somewhat satisfied with their children. That is to say young people in Shanghai should work hard to be more considerate to their parents.

 

72% of the respondents wish their children could visit them as often as possible instead of buying them a lot of presents.
