Chinanews, Xiamen, October 20 – Xiaoying, a baby girl born on last June 29 in Xiamen, was only 770g in weight at birth, to become the lightest baby ever in the city.

 

Now, Xiaoying is 2.4 kg in weight. She left the hospital on October 17.

 

Xiaoying's mother, 37, had a membrane1 in her womb, which hampered2 the growth of fetus3. She had already had two abortions4, and she wanted to keep Xiaoying at all costs.

 

“She was no bigger than my palm and she could hardly breathe when she arrived in the world,” said a nurse. “She had been put in ICU for three months, and nearly all the nurses in the hospital had taken care of her, for she was so cute.”
