Chinanews, Sanya, October 29 – Every winter, when it is snowy and bitterly cold in north China, Sanya, Hainan Province attracts a lot of senior citizens there with its enjoyable warmth and beautiful landscapes.

 

Ms.Zhang from Harbin said that her husband and herself had gone to Sanya every winter after retirement1.

 

Mr. Li and his friends came here after the week-long National Day holiday from northeast China. “I have rheumatism2, and the warm weather here is very good for my disease,” Mr. Li told our reporter. He said that he liked playing cards under coconuts3 trees while enjoying refreshing4 sea breeze.

 

Mr. Cai, from Shaanxi Province, arrived here last August. He didn’t come here for vacationing only. He opened a Shaanxi-style noodle restaurant, too, in Sanya.

 

“Now more and more people from north China spend their vacations in Sanya, and my restaurant offers them simple but homelike meals. Thus I can support myself at the same time enjoying the good sunshine here,” said Mr. Cai, who used to be a chef.
