MOSCOW, Nov. 6 - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with visiting Chinese Premier1 Wen Jiabao here Monday.

 

Wen arrived here earlier in the day for a two-day official visit to Russia after concluding a visit to Belarus.

 

Wen will also hold talks with his Russian counterpart Viktor Zubkov to discuss bilateral2 relations, regional and international issues and other issues of common concern, a Chinese diplomat3 traveling with Wen told Xinhua.

 

Wen will deliver a speech at a China-Russia high-level economic forum4 and attend the closing ceremony of the year-long program "the Year of China" in Russia.

 

Russia is the last leg of Wen's four-nation tour, which has also taken him to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
