Nov. 29 - As the sole airline partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Air China, China's largest air company, started it's recruiting of 300 "Olympic stewardesses2".

 

The recruitment has attracted 1,600 candidates from Beijing and surrounding provinces to compete for the vacancies3.

 

According to Air China, the Olympic flight stewardesses will be entrusted4 to offer high-quality services to passengers traveling by air during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The demands for the contestants5 are higher and stricter than usual.

 

Besides Beijing, the recruitment will also give access to candidates from Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.

 

After preliminary examinations and the quarter-finals, 300 stewardesses will be chosen, with 80 outstanding ones for the final race for "Stewardess1 Stars" in Beijing.
