Chinanews, Nanning, Dec. 11 – Yongfu in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous1 Region has become a town of longevity2 in China, according to experts from China Longevity Research Association.

 

The population in Yongfu is less than 300 thousand, and there are 36 people aged3 above 100. According to local statistics, the life expectancy4 in Yongfu was 75.24 in 2006. The local government started giving pensions to centenarians, and now residents here above the age of 70 can travel by bus for free.
