Chinanews, Beijing, Dec. 13 – According to the Beijing News, Zhang Xuguang, a woman from Liaoning Province, said that she could have a nice sleep after a 38-kilo tumor1 was taken out of her belly2 during an operation on Dec. 6. Before the operation, she just looked like a pregnant3 woman.

 

Zhang and her husband are farmers in a remote village in Liaoning. Six years ago, she constantly felt a pain in the stomach, but the local doctor couldn’t tell why to find tumor. When the couple came to the hospital in Beijing, the doctors said that it was caused by a tumor.

 

Zhang’s husband said that previously4 almost all of his fellow villagers had believed his wife was pregnant. Zuo Chongyi, the doctor who took charge of the operation, said that the operation was extremely difficult. The tumor in Zhang’s belly had changed the positions of her several organs. Zuo revealed that it was hard to judge what kind of tumor it was. He said it might be the largest tumor ever discovered in China in 30 years.
