Chinanews, Beijing, December 13 – According to a report by CCTV, the hospital that mistook the ID of two babies 21 years ago was defeated in the court on December 12.

 

The hospital put wrong ID tags on one of the twin brothers and another baby boy born in Beijing 21 years ago. The parents had not found out the truth until very recently, and they sued the hospital for compensation and apology.

 

According to the court decision, the hospital should compensate1 the two families with a total of 500,000 yuan, and offer a formal written apology. Both the defendant2 and demandant were satisfied, and neither of them would appeal to a higher court.
