“奥运媒体村”开放

    北京奥运媒体村将于7月25日正式开放，境内外媒体记者将陆续入住，在入住时，记者将收到一个礼品包，其中包括一些生活用品、防晒霜、雨伞、闹钟、清凉油、奥运会徽纪念章、折扇、北京地图和媒体村地图。同时，还会收到一封欢迎信，如果入住期间赶上记者生日，记者还将收到贴心的生日卡片。

    Canteens, gyms, and kiosks operating round-the-clock at the Olympic Media Village are ready to cater¹ to accredited² journalists.

    24小时服务的奥运媒体村餐厅、健身房以及报亭都已准备就绪，等待迎接所有注册记者的到来。

    The village consists of two residential³ compounds - Green Homeland and Huiyuan, and is just 15 minutes away by bus to the Main Press Center and International Broadcast Center.

    媒体村包括两个居住区——绿色家园和汇园，距离主新闻中心和国际传播中心只有15分钟的车程。

    上述报道中，Olympic Media Village就是“奥运媒体村”，Main Press Center是“主新闻中心”，简称MPC，International Broadcast Center是“国际广播中心”，即IBC。这里还需要提一下的是round-the-clock，其实就是“24小时不间断的”、“全天候的”意思，所以跟nonstop，day-and-night等表达意思都很接近，很多时候都可以替换使用。
