Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall will be returning to the West End stage in the Noel Coward comedy Private Lives.

Cattrall, best known for playing the outspoken1 Samantha Jones in the hit US TV series, will star opposite former Spooks star Matthew MacFayden.

Award-winning director Richard Eyre will direct the revival2 at London's Vaudeville3 Theatre from 3 March.

British-born Cattrall won critical acclaim4（喝彩，欢呼） for her West End debut5 in 2005 in the play Who's Life Is It Anyway?

Private Lives follows a pair of divorcees who find themselves drawn6 back into a torrid（酷热的） affair while honeymooning7 with their new spouses8 in France.

It will have a two-week preview run at Bath's Theatre Royal in February, ahead of its London opening.

Cattrall has most recently been filming the second movie in the Sex and the City series in New York, with co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

MacFayden will next be seen as the Sheriff of Nottingham opposite Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's forthcoming film, Robin9 Hood10.
