“高铁”开通在即，“高姐”整装待命：高铁线路上的乘务员都是从无数应聘者中海选出来的，而且已经经过了严格训练。

文中的high-speed train attendant就是指“高姐”，也就是高铁上的女性乘务员。High-speed train/rail也就是“高速铁路”（高铁）。京沪高铁将于六月底开通，目前正进行trial operation/run （试运行）。为了更加亲民，京沪高铁拆除了部分luxury train seats（豪华座），增加了standard seat（普通座），可以满足不同人群的需要。

Train attendant就是火车上的“列车员、乘务员”。飞机上的“空姐、空乘人员”就是flight attendant。高铁的时速比bullet train（动车）更快，开通后也将实行real-name purchasing system （实名制购票）。
