refit aircraft carrier 航母改建

China's Defense¹ Ministry² said on Wednesday that the country is making use of an imported aircraft carrier body for refitting to be used for scientific research, experiment and training.

中国国防部本周三宣布，正利用一艘进口的废旧航母进行改建，用于科研、试验、和训练。

文中的refit就是指“改建、改装”，因此改建航母就可以称为refit aircraft carrier。Refit还可以指“整修、重新装修”，比如：Refit the conference room have disturbed the office routine.（重新装修会议室，打乱了办公室的日常工作。）

Aircraft carrier就是“航空母舰”，属于一种warship（战舰、军舰），作用相当于seagoing airbase（远洋航行基地），规模更大的航母就属于supercarrier（超级航空母舰）。我国正在培训carrier-borne aircraft pilots（舰载机飞行员），航母改建成功后，将进行trial voyage（试航）。
