interest rate corridor 利率走廊

China is exploring the creation of an interest rate corridor, Yi Gang, vice-governor of the People's Bank of China said on Sunday.

央行副行长易纲6日表示，中国正在探索建立“利率走廊”。 

 

易纲对“利率走廊”（interest rate corridor）的定义为：中央银行通过提供一个存款和贷款的便利，主要是给商业银行提供这样的便利（the central bank introduces deposit and lending facilities to commercial banks），中央银行定存款和贷款的利率区间，通过这样一个利率区间调控和引导利率，这样一个机制就称之为“利率走廊”。

 

利率走廊的实施有利于稳定商业银行预期，避免预期利率飙升而出现囤积流动性（hoard¹ liquidity）倾向，从而达到稳定利率作用。
