Loan Guarante：借款保函

2004年6月28日，美国政府拒绝了美国联合航空公司的第三次（也是最后一次）对借款保函的申请，迫使这个全球第二大航空公司凭自身的力量获取资金，摆脱破产困境。

　　The U.S. government on Monday rejected United Airlines' third and final bid for a loan guarantee, forcing the carrier to move forward with its efforts to secure financing on its own to exit bankruptcy¹.

　　其中loan guarantee表示“借款保函”，指应借款人要求，向贷款行或贷款人所出具的对借款偿还的保证。据悉，早在2002年底，美国联合航空公司已正式向联邦破产法庭提出破产保护申请，紧随安然、世通入围美国历史上规模最大的十大破产案。
