Cars (2006)

Set in a world inhabited only by motor vehicles. The main hero is a hotshot rookie race car named Lightning McQueen --an obvious homage2 to the late fast-driving Steve McQueen--whose one goal in life is to win the Piston3 Cup and bask4 in fame and glory.

Yet, on his cross-country trip to the Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros5, Lightning finds himself unexpectedly detoured6 in the sleepy--and forgotten--Route 66 town of Radiator7 Springs. There he meets its colorful denizens8：

Sally, a snazzy 2002 Porsche, Doc Hudson, a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, who rules the town with a steady hand, er, wheel, and Mater, a rusty9 but trusty tow truck--Together, they all help the cocksure Lightning realize that there are more important things than trophies10, fame and sponsorship.

McQueen, who's always driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line.
