数据集团Library House的统计显示，2006年，英国在风险投资领域遥遥领先于欧洲其它国家。

The UK led the rest of Europe in venture capital investment by a wide margin1 during 2006, according to data group Library House.

英国快速增长的企业（其中许多是高科技企业）出售了515笔少数股权，价值17.8亿欧元。法国排名第二，共完成195笔交易，价值8.75亿欧元；西班牙位列第三，完成交易67笔，价值4.91亿欧元。德国排名第四。
