Sam ： Mother⁴, can you buy⁵ me a new bike？

Mother： No, Sam. I can't.

Sam ： But all my friends⁶ have new bicycles⁷.

Mother： You can ride their bikes.

Sam ： Why can't I have a new bike？

Mother： Because⁸ money doesn't grow on trees.
