Vision （1）
    1） We can see the train station from our house.从我们的屋子可以看到火车站。
    *see 是指即使不注意看也看得到。
    此外，还可以用于表了解、商量、思考……等意思。
    2） Alice did not look at the students.爱丽斯没有看到学生。
    *look at 要比 see 更下意识地看。
    3） She has gone to take a look at the art gallery.她为了参观美术品陈列馆而出去了。
    4） The audience stared the acrobats¹ in great wonder.观众以惊异的眼光注视着杂技演员。
    *stare at 是盯、凝视的意思。
    5） I like to gaze at the setting sun in the evening.我喜欢在傍晚观赏晚霞。
    6） The short boy tried to peer over the desktop².矮个子的男孩挣扎着要看到桌子的上面（有什么）。
    *peer 是走近去要看个清楚，而 stare 只是凝视，所以二者略有不同。
    7） She gaped³ in surprise when Robert arrived.当罗伯特来的时候，她吃惊得长大嘴巴呆住了。
    *gape 是惊奇得目瞪口呆。
    8） Their angry glare frightened the women.他们因愤怒而瞪大了眼睛，使那妇人吓坏了。
    *glare 有眼睛昏眩得闪耀之意。在这里指因激怒而目光闪烁。
    9） From across the room, David cast a glance at his brother.隔着房间，大卫瞥了一下弟弟。
    *glance 是以一瞬之间看看，而 cast a glance 是匆匆投以那种眼光。
